Her beautiful and flourishing spiritual world blossoms.

Her work returns again and again to the mountain roads, larch forests, and high skies around Hami in eastern Xinjiang — a landscape she carries with her like a second pulse, and renders in oil with patient, almost devotional attention.

Each canvas is a quiet act of memory: the way an autumn afternoon turns the needles gold, the long shadow a single cloud throws across a valley, the soft asphalt warmth of an empty road. She works slowly, often from sketches made on long walks, and lets weather and light find their own way into the paint.
